Donnie Mac's Trailer Park Cuisine

We finally hit up Donnie Mac's. The only place in town that you can order Spaghettios, Koolaid and good old PB&J's. They also have delectable frozen custard! The kids had a blast, and I enjoyed the atmosphere and tunes.

And this year's Christmas card...

So I realize that with the invention of the DVR, that watching commercials is mostly a thing of the past. So unfortunately, not everyone understood my Christmas card this year. In fact, I'm surprised I knew who I was, since I don't watch any show that isn't recorded. However somehow I've managed to see a few, but I was trying to emulate the Crazy Target lady. She is always on Target's 2-day sale commercials, I've come to love her. You can check out her here!
And here is a still of her:

Christmas Pics

We had a great Christmas, and Calvin was a very lucky boy. He got a batman car from katelyn, his Trio Batcave from Grandma, a batman fishing pole, books, Moon Dough, movies, and mommy searched high and low for a giant "Breaky Man" otherwise known as Fantastic Four's the Thing. Calvin first spotted a giant ceramic Thing at a gift shop in Spokane. He had a giant melt down over the fact that we refused to buy the $50 ceramic. A. It was ceramic, not really play worthy. B. Sorry kid, I love you but $50 bucks is more than I spend on a just because gift ;) So I searched and searched for something comparable, and I think I found the only available one. He was stoked! Thank goodness!!! Santa also brought Calvin the Dragon house he had been begging for for 6 months. So it was a good day!

Emily's digs suckers!

This cute thing is my niece, Emily. She is Kyle's newest. They came up for Thanksgiving and we gave her her first sucker. A sticky disgusting but extrodinarily cute mess!

And these cute kids played together so well! We can't wait for their next visit!

Easter

We were in Utah this year for Easter...so we started the festivities by dying eggs, at Bug's and Jaleese's apartment.

Give the kid a knife and fork and he's in heaven...instant weapons.

We woke up Easter morning to this...
Calvin was stoked about his Easter basket, especially "The Hulk" toy (we're still looking for that Jesus toga.)

And came back to Boise in time for an Egg hunt and family dinner!

Grandma's 90-something birthday!

Grandma is super old this year...90-something. Once you get past 80, don't expect me to exactly remember your age. Hmmm, she might just be 90, I do have some memory of someone saying just 90. Anyhow, we partied it up at Johnny Carinos for some yummy Italian eats. By the way, like my mom's photography skills? ;)

Skylar Vida Goff

Welcome Skylar Vida Goff! Will's sister Tiffany gave birth to Skylar on January 12th early early in the morning, almost exactly one year after her sister Tresa. She is beautiful and look at all that hair!

Christmas Day

Christmas morning started off with Calvin coming downstairs to see his stockings and unwrapping our gifts. It was so fun seeing him so excited about Christmas this year, although the present unwrapping was a little painful since he just wanted to play with whatever he unwrapped instead of continuing the process.

We had Will's family over for breakfast and had a great time, then afterwards we went to my mom's for presents and Christmas dinner. It was a wonderful Christmas and we all felt so very blessed.

Someone was a little excited about his candy cane!

My favorite gift I got Will, was a "Beard" hat, so that he would have no more beard growing excuses. I can't say that he totally shared the love, but at least he found it humorous. My discontent for facial hair has been deeply rooted since I was a little girl. For some reason, I've always associated facial hair with murders and rapists.

Calvin had instant love for his Mr. Freeze...little did he know what was yet to come.

Jill, Calvin and Jaleese trying to hide from me so Calvin wouldn't have to take a nap.

After the nap we did presents at my mom's.

As you can see, some could hardly contain their excitement...
Others were a little bit more enthusiastic.
Calvin carefully inspecting his "superhero" shoes.
When you get older, you don't always get fun toys for Christmas. Good thing Calvin shared, so that my mom, Jill and I could explore our inner child.
And Calvin was elated by his very Batman christmas...in his eyes, life simply could not get better than this.

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, we have a tradition of homemade pizza, games and of course a little something to get us all into the Christmas spirit. After dinner, Santa Claus tried to come visit Calvin. It didn't go over so well. He immediately took off running, refused to look at him, and told Santa to go to church (that is where he saw Santa the first time).

Since my older nephew and nieces wouldn't comply (apparently Santa just isn't cool for those between the ages of 18 and 22), Jill and I attempted to show Calvin how nice Santa was. He got me a present :)

Unfortunately, it didn't help Calvin feel better about the situation.

After the Santa trauma was over with we continued the festivies with Christmas stories, songs, and opening gifts.
