Calvin's Big Boy Room

So here is Calvin's room, it's still a work in progress, but it's almost there. I want to get some skateboards to hang up, make some cable art clips, and I have one more painting to do to place under the skateboarder one I already did. I love his furniture, now that its finally all in (only took 5 months), but its great and has lots of storage space! I get all giddy when it seems that things seem to work out perfectly, like finding the green and turquoise bins and green lamp at Target that matched perfectly. It just makes me feel like the room was meant to be. I got the bedding at Land of Nod, which has some of the most amazing kids stuff. I ended up painting the pillows myself, since I figured I could do it cheaper than Land of Nod. My amazing mom made my roman shades, which I will be forever grateful for. Sewing is not my forte. All in all, it was a fun room to do and Calvin loves his skateboard "fort" bed. It makes me feel especially good when he tells me its "Wow, it's bootiful mom, bootiful!"
