Sledding

DSC_2366-1 I know you're all jealous of my outfit...

Since I don't ski anymore, and I haven't ventured out in the snow in years, an impromptu sledding day made me to realize that I'm in dire need of some snow gear.  With two nieces, and a sister, you would think they could come up with something better than pulling out my old outfit my Grandma purchased for me in Junior High. And no, it wasn't cool then either.

Check out the close up of the sleeve- gotta love those pleats. Don't look at Calvin's snow pantssleddingoutfit either, which are over 30 years old. I have now learned you shop for snow gear at the beginning of the season, not after the snow.  And I always try so hard to make sure he's stylish-- sorry kid, not this time.

DSC_2271-1                          Calvin loved sledding.  He was immediately so excited.  The kid has no fear, and he just knew he was going to have a good time, but pretty much only wanted to ride with Jaleese. He was so happy to be able to spend so much time with her during her Christmas break.  He sill asks for her everyday now that she's gone.

DSC_2343-1DSC_2272-1Ok this picture, just cracked me up.  Hello, my little special one! Clearly the kid was frozen, he reminds me of ET or something. It was actually really sad, his checks were actually swollen by the time we were done, much worse than this.  Is that normal? DSC_2369-1DSC_2351-1Calvin, Jaleese, Bug and Me.

You crack me up! Love your outfit! Calvin's pants look just fine- what are you talking about? And I second Natalie's comment at the top- who cares how ugly your outfit was.... you can still fit into your old clothes?! That's amazing!

Thanks Nat for stealing my comment! Although the ski suit is beyond ugly, it STILL fits after almost 20 years!

Remind me to get you some of my extra ski stuff next time you decide to go outside in the snow. Lovin the yellow ski suit though. :)
