Where the Wild Things Movie

All of us anxiously awaited for opening day of Where the Wild Things Are. Calvin makes us read this book every night, and I'm not sure who got more excited when one of the previews came on commercial, me or Calvin? I absolutely could not wait to take him, and even had my mom finish his Wolf suit so that he could wear it there. But to much of our disappointment, the movie lost Calvin after 20 minutes, so we spent the remainder of the show chasing him up and down the theater stairs, getting him ice cream, candy, or whatever else might appease him, and just trying to keep him quite instead of loudly saying that he "wanted to go home." Total bummer! Did I like the movie? I'm not sure. I wanted to love it. I will definitely be rewatching it without Calvin when it gets on video. I can say this much, the music and the cinematography were amazing.

Good to know...I'm sure the other movie goers got a kick out of his costume!

I really wanted to like it too, but was also disappointed. I agree about the cinematography, it was quite beautiful really. Wasn't a fan of the human personalities and emotions of the wild things. Max was adorable, but Calvin was cuter!!

Brave to take calvin, there were 6 kids that had to leave the night I went.
